Express is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst / Accountant to support our Finance Department with budgeting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and grants management activities. This position is ideal for a skilled accounting or finance professional who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and supporting organizational financial operations.

Compensation: $30.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday - 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements, ACFR reports, and other financial reporting requirements
• Gather, analyze, and reconcile financial data for accuracy and completeness
• Monitor assigned financial areas and provide regular reporting and analysis
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of concern and recommend solutions
• Support accounting, budgeting, and grants management functions
• Prepare comparative analyses and financial reports for leadership
• Provide technical assistance and financial guidance to departments
• Conduct cost/benefit studies and prepare recommendations for management
• Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or Business Management preferred
• Knowledge of budgeting, accounting principles, and financial analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Experience with governmental accounting and budgeting is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
• Pass a background and drug screen
• Strong communication skills
