CNC Programmer / Manual Machinist

Full time – Temp to hire

Monday through Friday – 7am to 3:30pm

$30hr to $42hr depending on experience.

Busy manufacturer of bulk material handling and food processing equipment is looking for a CNC Programmer / Manual Machinist to join their team in Pacoima. Must have Mastercam programming experience.

Summary: This position is ideal for a hands-on machining professional with strong CNC programming capabilities, manual machining experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Program CNC machines using Mastercam software.
• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Manufacture precision components for industrial and food processing equipment.
• Select proper tooling, feeds, and speeds for machining operations.
• Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues as needed.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Experience programming CNC machines with Mastercam required.
• Hands-on experience operating manual machining equipment.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspections.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred/required.
• Manufacturing experience in industrial equipment or food processing equipment is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• CNC setup and editing experience.
• Knowledge of G-code and machining processes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Team-oriented attitude with dependable work ethic.
