We're looking for a driven Business Development Representative to join our crew! As a staffing industry trailblazer, you'll identify and cultivate new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and help shape the future of work.

Main Scope of Work:
- Proactively pursue and secure new business opportunities through creative outreach, networking events, and digital prospecting
- Build and nurture strong relationships with C‑suite executives, HR leaders, and other key decision‑makers
- Assess client needs and present tailored staffing solutions across office services, accounting/finance, light industrial, skilled trades, and professional/executive search
- Partner closely with the recruitment team to ensure seamless talent delivery and an exceptional candidate experience
- Consistently achieve or surpass sales targets to drive overall revenue growth
- Strengthen client relationships through effective negotiation, conflict resolution, and timely issue management
- Deliver outstanding customer service to support high client satisfaction and retention
- Develop strategic partnerships by conducting regular quarterly check‑ins with key accounts
- Utilize proprietary databases, CRM platforms, and market insights to identify and engage high‑value prospects
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand networks and promote business growth
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or business development, ideally within a B2B environment
- Local candidates - must be based in or near Ottawa with the ability to meet clients in person as needed
- Demonstrated success in business development or sales, with a proven ability to generate and grow accounts
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities
- Strong active listening skills, with the ability to understand client needs and propose effective solutions
- Creative and resourceful problem‑solver, always looking for innovative approaches
- Tenacious, resilient, and driven by results
- Industry knowledge and market insights are considered a strong asset
- Must have a reliable vehicle for travel to client sites (mileage reimbursement provided)

Core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 base, plus a competitive uncapped commission structure
Flexibility required:
- Ability to work flexible hours at times, including evenings or weekends, to ensure deadlines are met and deliver results
- Flexibility to respond to client inquiries and calls outside of standard working hours from time to time, as needed
- Occasional evening or weekend attendance at networking events, conferences, or other business functions outside regular business hours
