Heavy Machine Operator –

Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment for cargo handling, loading/unloading, material movement, and maintenance while following all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders, excavators, forklifts, cranes, bulldozers, and dump trucks
• Load and unload cargo and materials
• Inspect and maintain equipment daily
• Follow OSHA and port safety standards
• Assist with dock, yard, and cleanup operations
• Report equipment issues and hazards
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2+ years heavy equipment experience
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred
• Heavy equipment or forklift certification is a plus
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime
• Must be able to obtain TWIC 

Skills

• Safe equipment operation
• Teamwork and communication
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work
• Basic mechanical knowledge
