Construction General Labor – Steel Fabrication & Field Work

Location: Long Beach, CA

Pay Range: $18/hr

Schedule: Full-time, must be flexible for shifts up to 12 hours (e.g., 5 AM–5 PM) 

Summary
We are hiring Construction General Laborers to support steel fabrication and field installation work for infrastructure, parking structures, and other steel‑based projects. This is an entry‑level role with full on‑site training provided, ideal for candidates who are reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with steel materials, including loading and unloading using a forklift.

• Assemble steel parts to build anchors and footings for various construction projects.

• Perform concrete mixing and injection on outdoor jobsites.

• Support steel fabrication tasks for infrastructure and structural projects.

• Follow all safety protocols and wear full PPE at all times (hard hat, safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, safety vest).

• Assist with general labor duties as needed.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs, team lifting required for heavier items).

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish required (Spanish-only acceptable).

• General construction or fabrication experience preferred; must be comfortable working outdoors

• Ability to read simple instructions and perform basic math.

• Physically able to bend, lift, and perform labor-intensive tasks.

• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

• Flexibility to work up to 12-hour shifts depending on project needs.
