Inventory Controller

 

Job Summary:

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a highly organized and experienced Inventory Controller to join a dynamic Wine & Liquor store business. This is a critical role for a detail-driven professional who thrives on accuracy and takes pride in keeping inventory operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience managing stock levels, resolving discrepancies, and working within fast-paced retail or distribution environments. Requirements:

• Conduct regular cycle counts, investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, and process inventory adjustments to maintain accurate stock levels across all locations.
• Oversee the receiving process, identify and resolve receiving issues, and manage inventory transfers between locations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Utilize POS and inventory management systems to track stock movement, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with store management and purchasing teams to identify inventory trends, prevent shrinkage, and ensure optimal stock availability.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related role within a retail, liquor, grocery, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Strong working knowledge of inventory control processes including cycle counts, adjustments, transfers, and discrepancy resolution.
• Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Pay:

• Full Time – Monday – Friday
• $50,000 – $55,000 annually D.O.E
