Shop Maintenance Technician

Pay: $17-$23/Hr. DOE| St. Martinville, LA

 

Industrial/Oilfield shop seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Shop Maintenance Technician to assist with maintaining, rebuilding, inspecting, cleaning, and pressure testing rental tools and equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience working with pumping, filtration, and oilfield rental equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tools and supporting equipment
• Rebuild equipment, valves, and replace parts according to specifications
• Track and document equipment testing and maintenance records
• Complete work orders and submit required paperwork
• Pressure wash equipment using high temperature/high pressure systems
• Perform grinding, buffing, and general repair work
• Load and unload freight and maintain organized shop conditions
• Pressure test equipment in controlled environments and complete certifications
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and powered hand tools
• Recognize equipment issues and report corrective actions to supervisors
• Assist at well site locations when needed
• Follow all company safety and operational procedures

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude required
• Experience/familiarity with oilfield rental tools preferred:
  • Iron, hoses, valves, swingers, risers, tanks, gasbusters, manifolds, filtration vessels, etc.
• Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, and hand/power tools
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
• Must be able to lift and work in shop environments
• Must maintain dependable transportation
• Must be available for 24/7 on-call rotation

• Full-time
• On-call rotation required

Pay

• $17-$23/Hr. DOE
