Cold Storage Forklift Operator (Sit-Down) – Produce Warehouse

Location: McAllen, TX

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Some Saturdays based on workload)

 

Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced Forklift Operators for a cold storage warehouse environment in McAllen, TX. This role involves operating a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and stage produce and materials safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in refrigerated conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers safely
• Move, stack, and rack pallets in high-storage areas
• Transport produce and materials throughout the warehouse
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and condition
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and cold storage handling requirements
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required (sit-down preferred)
• Cold storage or produce warehouse experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments
• Ability to lift, move, and stack materials as needed
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Forklift skills test required during interview

Work Environment

• Cold storage facility with exposure to refrigerated temperatures
• Fast-paced warehouse with forklift and pallet movement throughout shift
