Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy diesel equipment in a shop environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems while performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment.

Primary equipment brands include Develon, Bomag, Etnyre, and Broce.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance according to service schedules
• Use computerized diagnostic software, hand tools, and precision measuring tools
• Complete detailed service reports using company software
• Communicate repairs, concerns, and preventative maintenance recommendations professionally
• Attend required training classes as needed
• Follow company procedures and safety practices
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Diesel Trade School certification or equivalent experience required
• Experience with Cummins, Stewart & Stevenson, Kubota, or Scania engines is a plus
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in physically demanding conditions
