Overview
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in Pembina, ND, to find a talented Environmental Health & Safety Specialist. This role is key to keeping employees safe, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.

 

What You’ll Do

• Lead hazard response, safety inspections, and emergency actions.

• Conduct investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure proper reporting.

• Develop and deliver EHS training programs and certifications for staff.

• Monitor production and facility operations to ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001/45001, and environmental regulations.

• Maintain records, reports, and data analysis to track and reduce safety risks.

• Collaborate with other facilities and teams to standardize safety programs.

• Support service center locations, including occasional travel.

Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• Knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, GHS/WHMIS, ANSI standards, and building/fire codes.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).

• First Aid/CPR certification required; Health & Safety certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 25–30 lbs as needed.

• Comfortable working in noisy, hot, cold, or PPE-required environments.
