Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Building Materials Warehouse Associate!

Position Summary:
Our client, a leading building materials supplier, is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join their team. This position involves loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and supporting warehouse and delivery operations. The ideal candidate will have some construction background, be physically capable, safety-focused, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Candidates with the willingness and ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL in the future are highly preferred. This role is best suited for someone dependable, hardworking, and comfortable handling heavy building materials on a daily basis. Reliable transportation to work is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify trucks are loaded and secured in accordance with company and DOT standards
• Unload, protect, move, and stage materials as specified by customer directives
• Lift and carry 70+ lbs continuously throughout the shift
• Support warehouse and delivery operations as needed
• Maintain strong communication and customer service standards
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories when required
• Learn and maintain general knowledge of building materials
• Support company values including Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Integrity
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous construction or building materials experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Willingness and ability to obtain a CDL in the future preferred
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check after conditional offer of employment
• Ability to work 40–50 hours per week
• Reliable transportation required

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays (rare)

Pay:

• $18–22/hour
