Known for their strong execution capabilities and entrepreneurial culture, the company specializes in complex industrial environments involving warehouse fit-outs, storage systems, structural installations, and operational modernization projects.
Due to continued growth and a major upcoming project, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a large-scale warehouse infrastructure project.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale industrial and warehouse-related projects, serving as the primary point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client communication.
This role will oversee a major warehouse project in Halifax, Nova Scotia, while being based out of the company’s North York office with regular travel to site. The successful candidate will coordinate internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, and installation crews to ensure successful project execution.
This is a hands-on senior project delivery role suited for someone comfortable managing high-value, fast-paced projects with multiple stakeholders and aggressive timelines.

Work Arrangement: On-Site – North York, ON Head Office with regular travel to project sites
Primary Project Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Project Size: Large-scale industrial warehouse project valued at approximately $20M–$30M
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead full project lifecycle activities including project kickoff, planning, procurement, scheduling, installation coordination, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Manage multiple project workstreams simultaneously while maintaining alignment on scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, risk registers, and progress tracking documentation.
- Identify project risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies before issues impact schedule or budget.
- Ensure smooth handoffs between sales, engineering, operations, procurement, and field teams.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary client contact throughout project execution.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage project communications, scope changes, RFIs, change orders, and client expectations professionally and efficiently.
- Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders regarding schedule, financials, risks, and milestones.
Technical & Construction Coordination
- Review technical drawings, layouts, engineered packages, and installation plans for completeness and constructability.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and installation teams to resolve technical or site-related issues.
- Ensure project execution complies with applicable safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
- Support field operations through regular site visits, inspections, and progress reviews.
Site Operations & Safety
- Oversee subcontractors and installation crews to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OH&S requirements and site-specific safety standards.
- Participate in project meetings, site walks, deficiency reviews, and final turnover activities.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Track project budgets, forecasts, costs, billing milestones, and margin performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and manage subcontractor pricing, procurement costs, and project expenditures.
- Support change order pricing, contract administration, and commercial negotiations where required.
- Ensure accurate project documentation and reporting for leadership review.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 7+ years of project management experience delivering industrial, construction, warehouse, or infrastructure-related projects.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects valued in the $20M+ range.
- Strong understanding of construction project delivery, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and site operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, client relationships, and multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software such as MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to project sites, including Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
Strong Assets
- Experience managing warehouse construction, industrial storage, racking, distribution center, or large facility fit-out projects.
- Previous experience within the racking, material handling, warehouse automation, or industrial infrastructure industries.
- PMP designation or formal project management certification.
- Engineering degree, Construction Management degree, or related technical education.
- Experience working with structural steel, mezzanines, warehouse systems, or industrial installations.
- Familiarity with OH&S regulations, industrial site safety practices, and construction compliance requirements.
- Experience coordinating projects involving engineered systems and multiple subcontractor trades.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary target range of $100,000–$120,000, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates.
