Position Summary

This opportunity is with a leading global supplier supporting the automotive industry. The company is seeking a Plant Manager to lead all operational functions at their facility. In this role, you will oversee production, safety, quality, engineering, maintenance, and continuous improvement while driving performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will manage a team of managers, supervisors, and technical leaders to ensure the plant meets business objectives and customer expectations.

This position reports directly to senior leadership and plays a critical role in shaping plant strategy and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of action plans required to achieve the business plan.
• Partner with corporate leadership to ensure adequate resources are in place to meet operational and financial objectives.
• Direct all manufacturing activities, collaborating with cross-functional departments to promote a safe work environment, establish performance standards, and ensure smooth interdepartmental flow.
• Determine staffing levels, shift structures, and operating schedules, including recommendations for machinery and equipment needs.
• Create and sustain an accident-free culture by implementing and supporting all environmental, health, and safety systems.
• Analyze production capacity and workload to determine machine utilization and required labor hours.
• Manage facility leadership, with overall responsibility for operations teams across all manufacturing areas.
• Provide technical leadership for new product and process development, including machine retooling and prototype manufacturing.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and clarity of product specifications.
• Review and interpret financial statements, using data to drive profitability improvements.
• Prepare and control operational budgets, developing strategies that support the financial health of the plant.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of 5S, applying S4 principles in daily operations.
• Maintain attention to detail, a productive attitude, and a commitment to quality, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support broader organizational goals.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, daily operations, material handling, quality standards, safety, and HR considerations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Advanced planning, organizational, and analytical abilities to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Prior Lean/Kaizen manufacturing experience.
• Ideal candidates will have 10–15 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or machining environments.
