Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to support daily operations in a fast-paced environmental and analytical laboratory. This role is critical to ensuring a positive client experience while maintaining efficient front desk operations, accurate documentation, and proper sample handling procedures.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a professional laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in clients professionally and efficiently
- Manage front desk operations independently on Saturdays
- Receive, log, and route laboratory samples
- Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
- Schedule clients and maintain appointment calendars
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and chain-of-custody procedures
- Coordinate with laboratory staff to support daily workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Expected Results
This position plays a vital role in supporting daily laboratory operations and delivering excellent customer service. The Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for maintaining smooth front desk operations, properly receiving and documenting samples, coordinating scheduling needs, and supporting internal staff while ensuring professionalism and accuracy at all times.

Work Environment & Equipment Exposure
This position operates within an environmental and analytical laboratory setting. Employees may be exposed to and must be comfortable handling sealed containers and samples that may include:
- Cannabis and psilocybin samples
- Asbestos
- Mold
- Lead paint
- Other potentially hazardous materials
All materials are handled according to established laboratory safety and compliance procedures.
Schedule
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday & Monday: Off
