Construction Lead / Skilled Operator (Excavation & Concrete)

We work with a well-established residential construction company specializing in excavation, concrete work, and seawall/bulkhead repair and replacement. They take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, strong teamwork, and dependable service. 

 

Position Summary

They are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Lead to take over a key role within their team. This position involves hands-on work in excavation and concrete, as well as coordinating job site activities and maintaining strong communication with crews, suppliers, and inspectors.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently for residential construction projects
• Perform concrete work including forming, pouring, and finishing
• Lead and assist with seawall and bulkhead repairs and replacements
• Coordinate with building inspectors to ensure compliance and smooth project flow
• Schedule and communicate with ready-mix concrete suppliers and pump truck operators
• Oversee job site progress and support team members as needed
• Maintain company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism
• Ability to set and verify elevations and drainage grades using laser levels to ensure accurate site preparation and proper water flow

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators in a construction setting
• Strong background in concrete forming and finishing
• Experience with seawall or bulkhead work preferred
• Ability to read plans and execute work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality results
