Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Specialty Installer Lead!

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled Specialty Installation Lead to oversee the precise installation and field modification of prefabricated interior systems across commercial projects. This role focuses on high-quality execution of casework, millwork components, fillers, trim, and finish elements while improving installation quality, project schedules, and overall margin performance. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong finish carpentry and commercial interior installation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install casework, millwork components, fillers, scribe panels, trim, and related finish elements with a high level of precision
• Perform detailed finish work including cutting, scribing, fitting, trimming, and field adjustments
• Execute field modifications to prefabricated systems while maintaining design intent and quality standards
• Support solid-surface component installation including fitting and seam work
• Read and interpret shop drawings, installation documents, and project specifications
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and installation teams to resolve field conditions and installation challenges
• Complete quality control checklists and provide photo documentation of completed work
• Identify and correct deficiencies before project completion to reduce punch list items and rework
• Track labor hours, installation challenges, and quality outcomes to improve future estimating and workflows
• Assist in developing installation best practices, SOPs, and internal quality standards

Qualifications:

• 3–7+ years of experience in finish carpentry, millwork installation, or interior systems installation (commercial preferred)
• Strong experience with field modification and precision fitting of prefabricated components
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and construction documents
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in finish work and installation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Experience in commercial interiors preferred (healthcare experience is a plus)
• Familiarity with millwork, casework, and furniture systems preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 7am – 3:30pm

Pay:

• $28–$35/hour (depending on experience)
