Express Employment is currently seeking a Experienced Yard Hostler for a local company in Longview Washington! 

 

Job Requirements:

 

• Valid driver’s license (CDL  preferred )
• Experience operating yard trucks/hostler trucks or similar heavy equipment (2+ years) 
• Strong ability to safely back, maneuver, and position trailers in tight yard spaces
• Knowledge of trailer spotting, loading docks, and yard organization procedures
• Ability to perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and DOT compliance standards
• Strong attention to detail for trailer tracking, placement, and documentation
• Physical ability to climb in/out of equipment and perform yard tasks as needed

Job Duties:

 

• Perform on-site transportation and repositioning of trailers and equipment within an industrial facility
• Operate mobile equipment to move large materials between shipping, storage, and staging areas
• Assist with preparing trailers for outbound shipments to support efficient loading and distribution processes
• Position and relocate loaded trailers to designated receiving and staging locations as needed
• Conduct routine inspections of trailers and equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance standards are met
• Complete and maintain accurate records related to inspections, equipment usage, and shipment activity
• Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, adapting to changing weather and operational demands
• Follow established safety procedures and operational guidelines while handling equipment and materials

Job Pay: $35.51 

Work Schedule: Night 6PM-6AM ( 4 - 12 hour days )
