Shop Foreman

Located in West Des Moines, IA

Salary: $25-35/hr

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to lead daily operations within a busy fabrication and mechanical shop environment. This individual will oversee shop workflow, coordinate fabrication schedules, assist with equipment operation, and support mechanics and assemblers while leading a small team of 5–6 employees.

Responsibilities:

• Track and maintain shop inventory and materials
• Create and manage daily/weekly fabrication schedules
• Operate shop equipment and assist with production as needed
• Support mechanics and assemblers with workflow and troubleshooting
• Supervise and lead a team of 5–6 employees
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and management

Requirements:

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a shop, fabrication, or mechanical environment
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Journeyman’s License preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Positive attitude, dependable, and professional demeanor
• Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced environment
