Our client is a fast-growing electronics manufacturer designing and producing high-quality consumer and industrial electronic products. They are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing across electronic components, PCBAs, mechanical parts, and contract manufacturing partners.

 

This role owns supplier strategy, cost, quality, delivery, and risk across a multi-million-dollar direct materials spend and works closely with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to support both new product introductions and ongoing production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies for semiconductors, passives, displays, connectors, PCBAs, enclosures, and EMS/ODM services
  • Lead supplier selection, qualification, negotiations, and performance management using QBRs and balanced scorecards
  • Drive year-over-year cost reductions through negotiations, should-cost, and total cost of ownership analysis
  • Mitigate supply risk via dual-sourcing, EOL/PCN management, allocation planning, and inventory strategies
  • Partner with Engineering on component selection, BOM optimization, and NPI supplier readiness
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of buyers and commodity managers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, and Logistics to align sourcing with production and financial goals

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive procurement experience in electronics, EMS, or hardware manufacturing
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Proven experience sourcing components across North America and international markets
  • Strong ERP/MRP expertise (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), advanced Excel; PLM/e-sourcing tools an asset
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and financial analysis skills
  • Comfortable with INCOTERMS, global trade compliance, and up to 20% travel
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation & Benefits

  • $80,000–$120,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
