Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sign Production Technician to join a fast-paced and growing signage company. This is a hands-on production role focused on large-format printing, vinyl application, fabrication, and sign production. The ideal candidate has strong sign industry experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple production projects efficiently.

This is not a graphic design role, although design knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate large-format printers, plotters, laminators, and sign production equipment
• Produce and install vinyl graphics and signage materials
• Pre-flight artwork files and prepare proofs for production
• Create and fabricate signs using acrylic, metal, wood, vinyl, and other materials
• Utilize laser cutters, CNC routers, and panel saws as needed
• Read and interpret layouts, shop drawings, and fabrication requirements
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency on all production jobs
• Maintain organized production files and workflow processes
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and installers to meet deadlines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient production environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sign industry experience required
• Strong experience with large-format printing and vinyl installation
• Expert-level experience with plotters and laminators
• Experience with sign fabrication methods and production equipment
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Onyx software
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Detail-oriented with strong measuring and math skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with permitting and shop drawings
• Experience preparing estimates or proposals
• Experience with project management tools such as Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Teams
• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, and work in a production environment for extended periods
