Welder/Fitter

Location: Mt. Vernon, IN

Pay: $20-$25/hr+

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; welding apprenticeship or formal training preferred
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in welding and fitting (structural steel, pipe, or fabrication environments preferred)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols
• Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding processes and applications
• Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, squares, tape measures) with precision
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various positions and environments
• Must pass a welding test; certifications may be required

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding, fabrication, and repair of metal components using various welding techniques
• Operate welding equipment and fabrication tools including grinders, torches, and plasma cutters
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout, materials, and welding methods
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all safety protocols
