Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel parts, assemblies, and structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and job specifications
• Set up welding equipment, including selecting proper wire, voltage, and gas flow settings
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting components prior to welding
• Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications
• Repair defective welds and ensure finished products meet required standards
• Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance checks
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE usage and safe handling of materials
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Work with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines
