Production

 

Duties
1) Learn Vinyl program and create files.
a) Must save files in the designated manner to assist proper record keeping
b) Must be saved in proper format and location for future projects
2) Be able to learn to read and interpret renderings correctly
a) You need to be able to identify the ADA font, color, size, braille location, and proper orientation
b) Understand the materials listed and process needed to manufacture and assemble properly
1) Example 1st Surface, 2nd surface, Complete cut outs, Metals, laminate, Braille.
a) Maintenance is to be preformed no less than once a month and needs done
more frequently during peak operation times
3) Must be mechanically inclined
a) Must have adequate motor skills necessary to perform tasks required
1) Example: cutting accurate borders, weeding vinyl, laying up vinyl, etc.
4) Maintenance on machinery (Router, Sander, Shop equipment)
a) Maintenance is to be performed as needed
b) Empty vacuums once a week or as needed
c) Check air lines for moisture and empty as needed
5) Manage inventory - keep tabs on materials
a) Beware of general invantory such as vinyl, tapes, X-acto blades, and other tools
b) Maintain forward thought to supplies needed (running out of common items is unacceptable)
6) Must be able to learn how to transcribe drawing into computer software for accuracy
a) Accurately document pertinent information to assist in future projects
7) Proper organization skills are a must
a) Keep projects paperwork organized and present with job at all time
b) Proper documentation of job status and any problems that develop
c) Leave current notes on job & paperwork so anyone can assess status
8) Maintain operational cleanliness of Production room/ Shop space
