Our team is seeking a high-energy Shipping & Dispatch Coordinator to manage the daily flow of goods and information. This role serves as the critical link between our warehouse, our carriers, and our customers. We aren't just looking for someone to "check boxes"—we need a logistics professional who understands how to manage a clock and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic Dispatching: Coordinate daily outbound shipments, ensuring all loads are assigned and dispatched according to carrier availability and customer requirements.
Time-Critical Prioritization: Evaluate shipping queues and prioritize dispatching based on strict time restrictions and transit windows.
Professional Correspondence: Act as the primary point of contact via email for carriers and internal stakeholders, providing clear, professional, and timely updates.
End-to-End Follow-Up: Monitor shipments from departure to arrival. You will be responsible for proactively identifying potential delays and communicating solutions before they become problems.
Logistics Administration: Maintain a general understanding of logistics documentation and industry standards to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Experience: Prior experience in Dispatch or a closely related logistics role is required.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in email communication and digital scheduling tools.
Critical Thinking: The ability to look at a list of 50 tasks and instinctively know which 5 must be completed first based on time sensitivity.
Logistics Knowledge: A foundational understanding of how freight moves, including common industry terminology and standard operating procedures.
Follow-Through: A "never leave a task unfinished" attitude with a proven track record of diligent follow-up.
Stable Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours per week with a consistent M-F schedule.
