We are currently recruiting a cook for one of our established child care facilities in the Yreka area.

The cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for the center. The cook also maintains records of meal count and data entry every day for each child. The cook stocks and develops the list of groceries monthly, maintaining inventory and is mandated to have a menu and post it every week. The cook is responsible for the cleanliness & orderliness of his/her kitchen. The cook has the duty to keep up to date on yearly training mandated by the CACFP (California Adult & Child Food Program) program.

P   Professional Characteristics

1.       Meets all state qualifications for a cook position: food handlers card and mandated trainings – Mandated reporter and DRP (Pesticide/Germ), Annual CACFP, and Civil Rights Training

2.      Employees are to clear a background clearance

3.      Is knowledgeable of current state requirements (Title XXII and Title V) and sanitization regulations and nutrition program guidelines

4.      Maintains confidentiality regarding the school, its clients and their families.

5.      Serves as a mandated child abuse reporter.

***For safety reasons, all employees must be able to lift a 40-pounds child in case of emergency and be able to hear a child calling from across the playground.

 

This is a fulltime position and pay is $19.00 per hour
