Machine Operator – Forming (Manufacturing)
Shift: B Shift (Mon–Thurs, 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM)
Pay: $20/hr  + shift differential

 

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for safely setting up and operating forming machines, maintaining quality standards, minimizing scrap, and completing all required documentation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor forming machines to meet or exceed production standards
• Ensure all machines are operating safely and in compliance with safety procedures, including proper guarding and lockout/tagout requirements
• Perform routine quality inspections and escalate concerns when necessary
• Monitor and minimize material scrap, ensuring accurate documentation
• Read and follow job packets, blueprints, routing sheets, and production schedules
• Stage materials, tooling, and equipment for upcoming jobs
• Train and support team members, including machine packers
• Complete shift handoffs to ensure smooth transition between operators
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Assist with inventory counts, job closeouts, and material handling
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to improve processes and production efficiency

Qualifications:

• Previous machine operating experience required (or equivalent experience)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities
• Basic computer and documentation skills required
