Metal Shop Associate / Finishing Technician

Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)

 

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual with experience in a metal shop or manufacturing environment for a client in the Rochester area!

 

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work and is comfortable working with a variety of equipment.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform general shop duties including deburring metal parts
• Grind and sand metal components to achieve a paint-quality finish
• Operate equipment such as timesaver wide belt sanders, stroke sanders, and tumbling machines
• Assist with various production tasks throughout the facility as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a metal shop or manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with metal finishing, including grinding and sanding to a high-quality finish
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn the following equipment:
  • Amada Laser
  • Amada Turret Punch Press
  • Amada Press Brake
  • PEM Machine
  • CNC Lathe
  • CNC Mill
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks across the facility
