Our client in Iowa City, IA is looking for a Temporary Forklift Operator!

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator for a 4-week temporary project supporting daily warehouse and production operations at a large plastic packaging manufacturing facility in Iowa City. This facility produces plastic bottles, caps, and injection-molded packaging products used in the food, beverage, beauty care, and home care industries. Examples of products produced at this facility include bottles for body wash, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, lotion, and gum packaging components. This role plays a key part in keeping production moving by safely transporting materials, finished products, and packaging supplies throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift throughout the warehouse and production areas
• Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials and finished products
• Supply production lines with needed materials and remove completed product pallets
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory movement
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse protocols

Qualifications:

• Previous sit-down forklift experience required
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to safely move materials in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work throughout the shift
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 4-Week Temporary Assignment
• Starting Monday, May 11th

Pay:

• $19/hour
