Wire Assembly / Panel Technician I

Location: Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Flexible Start Time)
Pay: $22 – $28/hour


Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Wire Assembly / Panel Technician I to support the assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting of solar panels, skids, and industrial control panels. This role is responsible for building and wiring electrical systems to specification while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.


Schedule Details

Flexible start time between 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM, working a standard 8-hour shift (examples: 6:30–3:30, 7:00–4:00, 8:00–5:00).


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire solar panel skids and industrial control panels to specifications
  • Build panels from prints, including layout and mounting of components
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Install and wire HMIs, pushbuttons, indicator lights, and emergency stops
  • Troubleshoot and identify electrical issues
  • Adjust electrical equipment, including voltage settings and output verification
  • Inspect equipment for safe operation and compliance
  • Track time and complete accurate documentation for builds and repairs
  • Order parts and coordinate with vendors as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5 years of industrial controls or electrical assembly experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLC functions, and I/O signals
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Experience with panel layout, drilling, tapping, and device mounting
  • Ability to assemble, wire, and calibrate electrical systems
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and wiring equipment
  • Experience with wire labeling and engraving equipment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work independently

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Use of hands and tools for detailed assembly work
  • Ability to work in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled environments
  • Must wear proper PPE at all times

Work Environment

  • A combination of climate-controlled shop and warehouse settings
  • Exposure to industrial conditions such as noise, dust, and occasional outdoor elements
