CNC Machinist / Programmer

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: Competitive; dependent upon experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join a precision manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components while meeting safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD/CAM files
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
• Perform machine setup, offsets, and tool changes
• Edit and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
• Maintain strict tolerances and ensure quality standards are met
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist and Programmer
• Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC programming
• Experience with CNC milling and/or turning centers
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Knowledge of various metals and machining methods
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
