Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $23–$30/hr (based on experience)

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Marine Maintenance Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join a reputable marine service provider in the Pasadena, MD area. This is a hands-on role focused on the maintenance, repair, and overall care of boats and marine equipment.

This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined and capable of working on a wide range of engines and equipment. The right candidate enjoys troubleshooting, fixing things, and working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on boats and marine equipment
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and mechanical systems
  • Maintain and service onboard systems (water lines, pumps, fuel systems, and basic electrical)
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and maintenance-related issues
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as winterization and vessel preparation
  • Support boat launches, hauling, and general marina operations
  • Clean, detail, and maintain overall vessel condition
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical, diesel, or maintenance roles
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work on various types of engines/equipment
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Must pass a drug screening
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors and around water

Preferred:

  • Marine or boating experience
  • Diesel engine experience (marine preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with marine systems (pumps, tanks, wiring, fuel systems)
  • Experience with seasonal maintenance or winterization
