Shippers Assistant

Located in Fitchburg, MA

Salary: $20-$24/hr

We are actively searching for a Shippers Assistant / FL Operator for a manufacturing and distribution company in Fitchburg, MA. This position is responsible for picking orders and preparing orders for shipment by freight, UPS or customer pickup as well as varied tasks to maintain the warehouse.

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick and pack orders for daily shipment through freight carriers, UPS, Amazon, and customer pickup

• Ship both individual and palletized orders with proper labeling and documentation

• Receive incoming materials and stock shelves accordingly

• Maintain and replenish inventory; monitor and report stock levels to management

• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (certification provided if needed)

• Work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously

• Manage and respond to phone calls, customer inquiries, and work orders

• Stay highly motivated and organized while juggling multiple priorities

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

• Provide excellent customer service during pickups and interactions

Position Requirements:

• At least 2 years of general warehouse, order selection, shipping, receiving or logistics experience required
• Previous forklift operation experience preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. through out the day

This is a full time position with great growth opportunities within the company.

The hours will be Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-5:00PM. The pay rate is $20-$24/hr.
