Job Title: Equipment Sales Representative |$100,000 and up with uncapped earnings|

Location: Fargo, ND Employment Type: Full-Time/75% Travel

Position Summary: The Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale and marketing of XCMG cranes and additional internal equipment. As an authorized dealer for XCMG, this role plays a critical part in expanding the XCMG crane presence in the U.S. market, acting as both a sales leader and market ambassador. Strong customer engagement and strategic market development are essential, as well as representation at industry trade shows and events. Frequent travel is required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Sell new and used XCMG cranes by identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate equipment, preparing proposals, and closing sales.
  • Develop and execute sales and market expansion strategies to optimize the growth of XCMG crane sales in the U.S., gathering customer insights, adapting messaging, and evaluating new distribution channels.
  • Manage short-term rental and sales opportunities for internal equipment, coordinating with operations to ensure availability and proper utilization.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, industrial clients, and other key stakeholders within assigned territories.
  • Attend and represent the company at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and industry events to generate leads and enhance brand presence.
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools (Salesforce) and internal reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with operations, service, and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth execution of sales and rental agreements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and XCMG product updates.
  • Travel regularly within assigned territory and occasionally nationwide, including overnight stays as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall business objectives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in equipment sales, heavy equipment, cranes, or construction-related industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, customer relationship management, and consultative selling.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with XCMG products or similar crane manufacturers.
  • Existing industry contacts within construction, energy, or industrial sectors.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel frequently, including long drives and overnight stays.
  • Ability to attend outdoor job sites, yards, and trade shows, which may involve walking, standing, and climbing equipment as needed.
