Summary:
Local Manufacturer near Brookfield, IL is currently seeking a CNC Mazak Machinist with Mill/ Tooling experience for our morning Shift with 3 years + experience within the precision machining industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathe machines (Mazatrol programming)
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
- Perform machine setup including tooling installation, offsets, and adjustments
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Make program edits and offsets as needed to maintain tolerances
- Troubleshoot machining issues and perform basic machine maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Document production and quality records as required
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience operating CNC lathes, preferably Mazak machines
- Experience with Mazatrol control programming
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Proficiency with measuring tools and inspection techniques
Work Environment
- Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to potentially hazardous machinery, loud noises, dust, mist, oils, and solvents.
