Job Title: Electrician (Commercial & Residential)
Location: Brandon / Valrico, FL
Pay: $25–$32/hour (DOE)

 

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced electrician to handle a variety of electrical work including installations, repairs, and system maintenance in both residential and commercial settings. This position requires a solid understanding of electrical systems, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work independently as well as alongside a team.

 

Primary Duties:

• Perform installation, repair, and upkeep of electrical systems, wiring, and components in accordance with applicable codes
• Identify and resolve electrical problems using appropriate testing and diagnostic methods
• Interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings to complete projects accurately
• Conduct routine system checks and preventative maintenance
• Assist with setting up electrical panels, breakers, conduit, and related components
• Follow all safety procedures and properly utilize tools and protective equipment
• Provide assistance and direction to less experienced team members when needed
• Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Maintain an orderly workspace and ensure tools and equipment are properly handled
• Communicate clearly with coworkers, supervisors, and customers to ensure job expectations are met

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus
• Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on electrical experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• Relevant licensing or certification preferred, depending on local requirements
• Familiarity with current electrical codes and standards
• Experience using common electrical tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Capable of standing, bending, climbing, and working in tight or elevated spaces
• Comfortable working in various outdoor and indoor environments

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position; typical schedule Monday–Thursday (may vary)
• Additional hours, including evenings or weekends, may be required based on workload
