Rebuild Specialist – Heavy Industrial Equipment

Position Overview

Growing industrial company is seeking a skilled Rebuild Specialist to join their rebuild department. This is a key role responsible for the teardown, inspection, repair coordination, and reassembly of heavy industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, and experience working with precision measurements and industrial components.

Responsibilities

• Perform teardown and inspection of heavy industrial equipment
• Conduct dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring tools
• Create detailed inspection and rebuild reports
• Identify worn or damaged components and determine repair or replacement needs
• Serve as a technical resource regarding replacement parts and repair solutions
• Reassemble equipment after repairs and complete final inspections
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and tolerances accurately
• Assist with light welding, fabrication, and machining as needed

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience working with industrial equipment or machinery rebuilds preferred
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring equipment
• Blueprint reading and understanding of tolerances required
• Welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members

Preferred Experience

• Industrial maintenance or rebuild experience
• Heavy equipment repair or mechanical assembly background
• Precision machining or fabrication exposure
• Knowledge of bearings, shafts, seals, gearboxes, and mechanical systems
