CNC MACHINIST-2nd Shift - 4x10's -Mon-Thurs 2:5pm-12:45am

$25-32/HR Based on Experience

 

A local company in Mesa, AZ is looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist. This is a full-time, eval-hire position, offering the opportunity to become a valued member of a national company, offering excellent benefits, pay, and career advancement. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts
• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
• Measures, marks, and scribe’s dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, and polishers.
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
• Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings.
• Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.
• Performs minor equipment preventative maintenance.
• Updates and tracks measurement data as per control plans
• Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Mills, CNC, and Lathes
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to work with tight tolerances
• Reliable
• Ability to pass background
