An ice cream distribution in Santa Ana is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable / Payroll Clerk to join their team. This dual-role position supports both accounting and payroll functions, ensuring accurate invoicing, collections, and timely payroll processing. Accounts Receivable Duties:

• Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time
• Post payments and reconcile accounts receivable ledger
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up via calls and emails
• Prepare and review AR aging reports
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain accurate customer records and credit information
• Assist with month-end closing related to AR

Payroll Duties:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees
• Review and verify timekeeping, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Handle garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
• Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and deposits
• Generate payroll reports and respond to employee inquiries
• Maintain confidential payroll and HR records

Accounts Receivable / Payroll Clerk Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Payroll
• Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, or similar systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
