Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview 

Rigging Specialist

We are hiring a Rigging Specialist to support daily rigging operations at our yard and on job sites. This role works closely with a rigging team to safely prepare, move, and secure heavy loads using cranes, trucks, and heavy equipment. Safety, precision, and teamwork are essential in this hands-on position.

Key Responsibilities 

Rigging Specialist

• Perform rigging operations with the rigging team to move heavy loads safely
• Set up trucks and trailers for transport of rigged loads
• Operate overhead cranes and assist with crane lifts
• Rig and secure loads using chains, slings, hooks, and other rigging equipment
• Operate heavy equipment as required for lifting and positioning materials
• Use hand tools and rigging tools in the yard and at job sites
• Inspect rigging equipment for wear, damage, and safety compliance
• Follow job plans, lift plans, and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials
• Work efficiently as part of a team in fast-paced environments

Qualifications 

Rigging Specialist

• Previous rigging experience preferred
• Experience working with overhead cranes and heavy equipment
• Knowledge of rigging practices, load securement, and weight capacities
• Ability to safely rig and move heavy loads (tons)
• Comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with team members
• Physically able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills 

Rigging Specialist

• NCCCO, rigging, or crane-related certifications (a plus)
• Forklift or equipment operation experience
• Basic understanding of load calculations and rigging angles

Work Environment 

Rigging Specialist

• Combination of yard work and job-site work
• Heavy equipment and overhead crane operations
• PPE required as directed
