Position Type: WEEKEND SHIFT- Friday- Sunday 5:00am- 5:00pm (4 hr shift premium)

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemical Operator to join our team. As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and monitoring chemical processing equipment, ensuring the efficient production of our products while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during a polymerization reaction/ Understand and troubleshooting all equipment involved in a polymerization reaction. (i.e. condenser, vacuum pump, heat exchangers, etc.)
• Clean plate and frame heat exchanger and pre-filters as needed, Understand, analyze and interpret acceptable ranges for temperature, pressure and other critical control points.
• Recognize and troubleshoot any process interlocks seen at the DCS.
• Troubleshoot any control points that are out of range
• Inventory raw materials and finished products for month end inventory.
• Provide adequate and appropriate samples for QC analysis.
• Also Perform Solids, formaldehyde and PH adjustment Testing.
• Transfer finished product to appropriate holding tanks.
• Monitor raw material tank and tote levels and change out as needed.
• Monitor raw material temperatures if applicable.
• Help with receiving and unloading raw materials into appropriate tanks.
• Troubleshoot vacuum pump and loss of vacuum for reaction.
• Performs Duties of Production Worker – Liquid, Dry and PVOH when required.

Qualifications: Chemical Operator

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience in chemical mixing.
• Knowledge of Polymerization Reaction and Reactors
