POSITION TITLE: Sales Associate

Location: Mississauga
Reports to: Sales Manager

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for executing effective sales strategies to maintain and grow existing accounts while reactivating and expanding business with dormant or underperforming customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the full sales cycle, including cold calling, prospecting, presenting, and closing sales
• Build, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships
• Research and identify potential and existing customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the sales process, value proposition, and product offerings; effectively address objections
• Prepare quotes and estimates for customers
• Provide accurate pricing, product availability, and scheduling information
• Recommend alternative products or solutions to meet customer needs
• Handle order entry and track orders to ensure smooth and timely delivery
• Receive and process customer inquiries and orders
• Coordinate with inventory teams to source products not currently in stock
• Meet sales targets, generate new opportunities, and achieve individual and organizational KPIs
• Manage customer accounts in accordance with agreed trading, payment, and collection terms
• Deliver value to customers through internal coordination across departments
• Provide timely reporting on market competition and internal requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education / Skills / Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong relationship-building abilities
• Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills

Computer Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Experience with CRM software

Professional Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a sales environment

Travel:

• Occasional local travel to customer locations may be required

• This is an active job with one of our clients and is a temporary contract role covering an 18-month maternity leave.
