A manufacturing company in Visalia is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Customer Service Coordinator to support order processing, customer communication, and coordination between sales, production, engineering, and shipping. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of administrative work, customer interaction, and supporting a fast-paced industrial environment. A mechanical or metal-manufacturing aptitude is required, as the position involves working with technical product information, part numbers, and custom equipment specifications.

 

Customer Service Coordinator Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, quotes, order updates, and product information
  • Enter and process sales orders with accuracy in pricing, part numbers, materials, and lead times
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and shipping teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders
  • Provide updates on order status, delays, and delivery schedules
  • Prepare and maintain customer files, order confirmations, packing lists, and related documentation
  • Assist with quoting by gathering specifications, verifying materials, and confirming availability
  • Resolve customer issues professionally and escalate technical questions to the appropriate department
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks, reporting, and communication
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all customer and order records

Customer Service Coordinator Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of customer service or administrative experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)
  • Capability to reach and interpret customer sketches
  • Basic Auto-CAD drawings to ensure proper order entry
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience in metal manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial parts required
  • Ability to understand or learn basic mechanical terminology, drawings, or part descriptions
  • Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and organized
