Service Dispatcher

Our client is seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Service Dispatcher to join their HVAC service department. This position is responsible for coordinating technician schedules, dispatching service calls, and communicating with customers to ensure efficient daily operations.

Location: Newton, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00/8:30 AM–5:00 PM (On Site)
Pay: $25–$32/hour, based on experience

Position Overview

The Service Dispatcher will coordinate daily HVAC service operations, manage technician schedules, and serve as a primary point of contact for customers. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills, can manage competing priorities, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch HVAC service technicians for daily service calls

• Coordinate technician routes, appointments, and job assignments

• Monitor schedules and adjust assignments based on urgent service requests and changing priorities

• Communicate with technicians regarding job details, scheduling changes, and customer updates

• Answer incoming customer calls and schedule service appointments

• Confirm appointments and provide customers with updates on technician arrival times

• Document service requests, customer concerns, and job details accurately

• Research and assist with resolving customer service concerns

• Maintain organized service records, scheduling information, and customer communication logs

• Provide administrative support to the HVAC Service Manager and service department

Qualifications

• Previous dispatching, scheduling, or customer service experience

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable handling a high volume of calls and coordinating schedules

• Strong computer skills and experience with scheduling or service management systems

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other field service dispatch experience is a plus

• Reliable onsite attendance is essential
