A local college in Fayetteville, NC is seeking an experienced, dependable handyman to support campus maintenance needs throughout the summer. This role is ideal for someone skilled in general repairs, light carpentry, and facility upkeep who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across campus buildings
Complete light carpentry, painting, patching, and minor plumbing or electrical fixes
Assist with summer facility projects, renovations, and room refreshes
Move furniture, equipment, and materials as needed
Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Collaborate with maintenance staff and follow project timelines
2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience required
Strong skills in general repairs, basic carpentry, and troubleshooting
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in indoor/outdoor summer conditions
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Familiarity with safety procedures and proper tool use
Full‑time seasonal hours (Monday–Friday; occasional weekend work depending on campus needs)
