A church in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our congregation, staff, and guests. This role is essential to supporting our ministry and ensuring that our facilities reflect the care and hospitality we strive to offer our community.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
Empty trash and recycling throughout the building
Set up and break down rooms for services, meetings, and events
Perform basic maintenance tasks (changing light bulbs, minor repairs, etc.)
Monitor cleaning supplies and notify leadership when restocking is needed
Ensure entrances, walkways, and grounds remain tidy and safe
Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns
Prior custodial or facilities experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
Respectful of the church’s mission, values, and community
Willingness to work weekends, occasional evenings, or special events
