CNC Lathe Machinist 

 Lafayette, LA | $20-25/Hr. | Full-Time

 

We are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for the setup, and operation of our CNC turning centers to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate has experience with a variety of machine sizes, from small precision work to large-scale shafts.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Setup & Operation: Perform complex setups on CNC Lathes (Haas and Fanuc/Okuma controls).

• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and job routers.

• Tooling: Select and set cutting tools, inserts, and offsets.

• Quality Control: Inspect your own parts using calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure tolerances are met.

• Maintenance: Perform routine daily maintenance and ensure a clean, safe work environment.

 

Requirements: 

• Minimum [3-5] years of experience in CNC Turning.

• Experience with Haas (SL/ST series) or Puma/Fanuc controls is highly preferred.

• Ability to handle various part sizes.

• Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, and material properties

 

 Equipment Includes:

• Puma 400L (Large Capacity: 15" x 82")

• Haas ST-30 & SL-30

• Okuma Crown L1420
