Our client in Mentor, OH is seeking an experienced Production Technician to join a growing manufacturing team within the Assembly Department. This role supports production operations by operating machinery, handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting production leadership to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery used in the production and assembly process
• Inspect products to ensure conformance to procedures and quality standards
• Move raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods manually or using a pallet jack
• Count finished products to confirm order completion
• Mark or tag parts for identification and tracking
• Maintain inventory accuracy using an ERP system
• Separate and stage products according to production schedule and completion level
• Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies within the production area
• Support production flow and organization alongside Production Leads

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the Production Supervisor
• Works closely with Production Leads to support daily operations

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting production in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Experience in metal fabrication, assembly, or welding
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
• Working knowledge of product conversion principles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and assist team members as needed
