Press Brake Operator - 2nd Shift

Salary: $20/hour

Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a 2^nd Shift Press Brake Operator!

Position Summary: The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machines to bend and form metal parts according to specifications. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, monitor production processes, and ensure quality standards are met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work efficiently in a team-based manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate press brake and other fabrication equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to meet production requirements
• Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
• Measure materials using precision tools and equipment
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of machinery
• Use computers to input, access, and retrieve production data
• Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to make machine adjustments
• Follow all safety procedures and perform safety inspections

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous press brake or CNC machine experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and document work effectively
• Comfortable working with computers and production systems

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 3pm – 11:30pm

Pay:

• $20.00/hour
