Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to join our internal team. This Outside Sales Representative role is fully field-based and focused on generating new business through cold calling, in-person visits, and relationship building with local companies.
We are looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative who is comfortable being out in the field daily, walking into businesses, and creating new opportunities. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk role. The right Outside Sales Representative will have a strong hustle mindset and a desire to grow a book of business.
Job Overview – Outside Sales Representative
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing new client relationships in the East Pittsburgh market. This Outside Sales Representative position focuses heavily on prospecting, cold calling, and face-to-face sales to bring in new staffing clients.
Responsibilities of the Outside Sales Representative:
- Prospect and generate new business as an Outside Sales Representative
- Conduct cold calls, in-person visits, and drop-ins to local businesses
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers
- Identify hiring needs and present staffing solutions
- Manage and grow a pipeline of potential clients
- Follow up consistently to close new business opportunities
- Work closely with internal team to ensure successful placements
- Track activity and maintain organized sales efforts
Required Skills for the Outside Sales Representative:
- Previous sales experience preferred (B2B or staffing a plus)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable with cold calling and in-person prospecting
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and hustle mindset
- Ability to handle rejection and stay persistent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
