Shipping and Receiving Clerk (ID EV422)

Salary: $18 - $19 / hr

Responsible for accurately shipping products, including individual-sized boxes and full pallets. Must be certified to operate a forklift. This role ensures sales orders are shipped to the correct location and reviews shipments for accuracy, including labels and product contents. Assists with door holder operations when shipments are slow and ensures the gate is closed during their shift, only opening it for deliveries or pickups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ship products accurately, including individual-sized boxes and full pallets.
- Ensure all shipments are reviewed to confirm labels match the products contained.
- Verify sales orders are being shipped to the correct location and flag discrepancies.
- Operate a forklift safely and ensure certification is up to date.
- Assist with door holder operations during slow shipment periods.
- Ensure the gate remains closed during the shift, opening it only for deliveries or pickups.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Forklift certification is required.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify and address discrepancies in shipping documentation.
- Basic computer skills for shipping systems and record-keeping.
